Ignacio Fernández Abad

He joined Fuster-Fabra Abogados in October 2021, as an associate in the Tax Department, specialising in tax procedures. Prior to joining, he has worked in the Public Administration and in one of the leading multinationals in the telecommunications sector, as part of the Tax Advisory team, participating in projects of great economic and business importance, with wide-ranging tax implications.

With more than 14 years of experience as a Tax Lawyer, Ignacio has developed his career in the field of legal-tax consultancy in the business world and is a specialist in state taxes, local taxes such as Business Activity Tax, ICIO, Occupation Fees, among others; in regional taxes such as Transfer Tax, Environmental Taxes and taxes on regulated sectors; in addition, his experience includes:

• International taxation.
• Taxation of investments in R+D+i.
• Transfer pricing.
• Tax due diligence.

In the field of tax procedures, his experience focuses on the technical-legal management of tax procedures related to local, regional and national taxes, in the preparation of appeals and claims before economic-administrative and jurisdictional bodies, in relation to the following procedures:

• Inspection, verification and collection procedures.
• Sanctioning procedures.
• Contentious-administrative proceedings: ordinary contentious-administrative appeals.

He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.

He holds a degree in Law, Political Science and Administration from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a Master’s Degree in Tax Consultancy from the Centro de Estudios Garrigues.
